Ranthambore Fort lays within the Ranthambore National Park, near the town of Sawai Madhopur, the park being the former hunting grounds of the Maharajahs of Jaipur until the time of India's Independence.
It Is Said That The Nagaur Fort Was Initially Built By The Ruler Of The Nag Dynasty In 2nd Century, And This 500 Year Old Fort, Located On The Eastern Edge Of The Thar Desert Was Built In About 1523. Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb Used To Stay At This Fort. Black Deer Roam in Herds around This Fort. The Fort Has Now Been Furnished With Modern Facilities and Turned Into A Heritage Hotel.
Built by the Arjun Pal, founder of Karauli in 14th century, now cty palace only has some remains. The structure which one can see in the name of city palace was erected by Rajas Gopal Singh in the 18th century.
Abhaneri 88 Kms From Jaipur On The Jaipur-Agra Road Is Another Attraction Of Dausa, It Is Believed To Be Established By Raja Chandra. One Of The Popular Places To Visit In Abhaneri Is The Chand Baori (Stepwell). Built Back In The Eighth Century, It Is One Of The Deepest And Largest Step Wells In India. The Phenomenal Structure Is 19.5 Meters In Depth And Features 1000 Narrow Steps, Spanning 13 Storeys.
